The Banaban Wedding: A Fiji Experience

I had the great pleasure of taking the photographs of a lovely traditional Banaban wedding in Fiji. The Banabans are the ‘Forgotten People of the Pacific’ who have suffered from one of the greatest ecological and environmental disasters over

the past century and we hope through learning more about us and our endeavours to savour identity and our homeland we can move towards a brighter future. The wedding really reflected a very deep tradition of culture and family life. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Fiji. I personally think they are the happiest people on earth.
